MTSE undergraduates extended visit to Aberdeen Proving Ground for learning ARL research and collaborations

Three MTSE undergraduate students Sky Segovia, Tyler Torgerson, and David Flannery visited the Army Research Laboratory Weapons and Materials Directorate  (ARL/WMRD) located in Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD from July 30 to August 10.  They learned ARL/WMRD research and connected with their ARL mentors Dr. Ray Brennan and Dr. Brandon McWilliams. Students were given opportunity to see the inner works of this premier national laboratory and participate in ARL cutting edge research in additive manufacturing and advanced material processing under strong magnetic and electrical fields. The undergraduate visiting students are enrolled into grad track programs for their advanced this visits is a part of their research and ongoing MTSE collaborative activities with Army under ARL South Campus.
