Brett Robertson

  • Biography

    Since graduating from the University of Western Australia (UWA) with a PhD in peri-operative orthopaedic rehabilitation Brett has forged a strong career in health management and research administration.

    In 2007, he founded Physical Solutions a dynamic and successful physiotherapy company in Perth, WA before joining one of Australia’s leading medical research organizations, the Ear Science Institute of Australia (ESIA) as Chief Executive Officer. Whilst at ESIA he actively managed the construction, tenanting and ongoing operation of the Institutes AUD20 million clinical and medical research building. He was also the driving force behind the development and establishment of the Institutes state-of-the-art AUD2.7 million surgical simulation and medical training facility.

    Brett has over 10 peer reviewed journals articles and over AU$11M secured in competitive grant funding. He has attended leadership workshops at the Harvard Business School in Boston, MA on scholarship from the Harvard Club of Australia, and is currently studying at the Stanford Graduate School of Business. He is a 40under40 winner (2015).

    In 2015 Brett founded and established the Australian Institute of Robotic Orthopaedics [www.airo.net.au] with Professor Daniel Fick and Professor Riaz Khan.
